2025 review. Thought it was about time I did an update so instead of a page for each location. We started the year with 4 day in the Lake district. Being February it was wet. But it again it was wet in August but February was quieter. A rental cottage with an open wood fire meant going and getting atmospheric photos always ended around the log fire so no real hardship.

2025 A year of Landscape, castles, woodland and flora

April brings a Norwegian cruise and the challenge of ship board photography and trying to create something more than holiday snap next to the tourists restricted by no choice of time or waiting of some light. Here are few of my favorites.

Something a little different. When its wet a grey out a bit of indoor photography flower with what ever happens to be in the vase.

A meeting of the 617 club at Loch Tulla gave me an excuse to have a few days in the Glen Coe area to try a few views I have had in mind for a while.

Holiday time and again I find myself in Northumbria staying in Bamburgh village. Being partial to castles, it gave me the opportunity for a dawn shoot on the beach facing the castle with a forecast of some light. Two hours from blue hour to golden hour gave me the opportunity for several shots. Alnwich castle in the autumn, although cloudy still is a beautiful location and a joy to shoot.

Well, that about wraps it up for this year; not a bad crop from just a few outings. To finish, here are a few various shots from walks and opportunistic moments.
