We all know weather apps and forecasts are not reliable, especially in the UK. But we still use them. Sunrise prediction for dawn was good. Cloud over Malham with no cloud to the east. I'd located a likely target of a lone tree, but with a 2-hour drive and it being July a 2:30 am alarm call was required. Do I trust the apps. Of course I do. The result is I arrived before dawn, locate the tree, set up a composition and wait. There is a lot of cloud moving quickly above but there is a gap to the east, which then closes up with a faint orange glow but no direct light on the tree I'd hoped for. Oh well, some you win some you don't.
There is a bit of colour in the cloud however that I managed to bring out in the edit so managed to get a decent image in the end.
